I ran across a thread on reddit about "very inexpensive food that is delicious" and I've been thinking a lot about it. I've long believed that many of the world's best foods come out of difficult, constrained situations. anyway, here's my highly incomplete list of delicious, cheap foods
- haluski
- frijoles de la olla
- fried potatoes
- mujadara
- polenta
- fried rice
- red beans and rice
