The company I worked for before I retired used Oracle software for HR and payroll. They were the kludgiest, least reliable software I ever encountered, and I encountered a lot of crapware in 42 years. Crashing at least once per update was expected. Having it regress your updates - check. Slow as molasses - check. Unreadable fonts - yup.
I could not understand how the company couldn't find something better. A team of 10 in-house developers could have made much better in a year.
