The argument that the switch to USB-C means that Lightning cables will end up in a landfill is utter lunacy.
There are iPhones being sold today that will still be in use a decade from now, using Lightning cables.
And if you somehow feel you'll never again need a single lightning cable when you you upgrade to a new phone in a couple of weeks, give them to a friend, a coworker, or just stand outside an Apple store and hand them to people
