While we honor those who serve, it’s time to recognize that their sacrifices too often fuel the freedom of powerful centralized interests rather than enhancing the liberties of everyday citizens. Veterans are owed more than symbolic gestures; they deserve the very dignity, prosperity, and personal freedom they were told they were protecting. Let’s acknowledge the truth: their courage is too frequently exploited by systems that fail to reward them with the justice and support they’ve earned.
