Charles McPherson is a living legend residing in #SanDiego so I get to see him live a few times a year here. He played and recorded with Mingus for many years. Last night he did a show, Charlie Parker with strings, backed by SDSU student orchestra. Charles is 85 yo, but plays like he is half that age. Here is his latest album.
