Never thought I’d be here relatively defending Mark Zuckerberg smh. But the backlash against Meta’s sunsetting of fact-checking and updated moderation policies, which only allows for more open dialogue and opinion and still doesn’t grant people the ability for harassment, proves people want to be controlled. They want people’s speech limited if it means their ideological beliefs aren’t challenged in the open. These people would welcome tyranny with open arms if it afforded them a sliver of safety.
