Just had a sweet catch up with my niece... She showed me her handwriting, then recited the that was in her notebook about our motherland
...and shared that her new extra curricular activities will be English and hip hop classes... We agreed that I can help her with English and she can teach me some hip hop moves... Then she wanted to show me the choreography of a Dr. Dre - Next Episode song, she's got down... (Which I find hillarious 😂).
Oh and I got to share some handy new tools with my sis and niece that I've been seeing jack (nprofile…hcpn) sharing the last couple of days on language learning... Maybe my niece turns into a wunder kid poliglot. It's a motivation to dabble for the sake of supporting my niece as I don't really have bandwidth myself for learning a new language right now.
Eventually she tactfully let me know she wants to finish her show... Which apparently is a reality TV of a group of couples traveling through our home country and needing to complete challenges and tasks they are given. And they don't use GPS but real paper maps, how once upon a time back in the day people used to navigate. 🤣 Told her I am so happy she's learning about these old ways as it's a valuable survival skill indeed.
