Even bg3, as excellent as it is, has this tendency to put the player into ruin after ruin, secret base after secret base. The city does feel alive, but like, barely, begrudgingly. It’s thinly-stretched connective tissue between a bunch of ruins and secret bases, and secret bases in ruins.
