The new water distiller arrived today. moxie (nprofile…xz56) gave it her seal of approval. It is the perfect size (5 gallon water container included in image for size comparison—I do not drink from or store purified water in plastic).

I cleaned it, rinsed and boiled the carbon filter for 5 minutes as per the instructions. Once this first gallon is finished, I will discard it "as it may contain harmless matter from manufacturing and packaging," then it will be good to go. Hopefully my new salts will arrive just in time to remineralize and taste the second gallon.
