Pete Hegseth himself has served as an infantry officer in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He was awarded two Bronze Star medals, typically given for heroism or meritorious service in a combat zone.

In the interview, he discusses how the left reformed public schools in the U.S., working to remove religion to make people more loyal to the government and believe in socialism.

He simply says that schools replaced faith in God with worship of the state.

Seems like a tough guy with a healthy dose of anti-state thinking.
