A Beetle at Beaulieu - at the National Motor Musem to be precise. This particular car was presented by Volkswagen to Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, the founder of the museum, in 1963, when cumulative Volkswagen sales in the UK reached 100,000. Production of the Beetle was restarted after the Second World War under the leadership of Major Ivan Hirst, with the factory at Wolfsburg remaining under British administration until 1949.
