There are too many assumptions at the top of too many organisations, and yes, that so-called "conversation" about redefining "museum" came across to me as a total waste of time. They could have used that to educate and create. That conversation was one that New Zealand still very much needs to have. We had some idea-collecting here but there was no sincere effort to convene a conversation even among NZ's ICOM members.
