I don't know the details, but the Geforce cards aren't as quick at many AI tasks as the dedicated cards. Fewer tensor cores or something like that. Also, if you care about such things, it's against the CUDA ToS to use Geforce in the datacenter.
The other subtitled video on my poast TV channel I made just using whisper.cpp on the CPU with no graphics card at all. It took a while and made a lot of heat and noise, but was completely free.
