One aspect of making retrocomputer miniatures that I enjoy is how many of the users tell me about the neat projects they do with the little friends, often with a bit of recollection of their early days as coders. When PCs first landed they became, for many kids, a respite from bad situations at home and/or school. The machines' combination of hard fun and mystery (to others) helped many young coders make it through to adulthood.
