"content": "Next up, we got Jerry Xuan on high-res spectroscopy of directly imaged planets. In particular, Jerry talks about KPIC - the Keck Planet Imagery and Characteriser. They use a fibre-fed spectrograph in the K-band, so the light gets fed into the spectrograph through a small fibre. Long story short: The main finding of their survey is that they find solar-abundances for their sample suggesting that they are consistent with their host stars, while HJ are not consistent (see Yee’s talk) #exoplanets5\nhttps://cdn.masto.host/astrodonsocial/media_attachments/files/112/631/277/380/896/456/original/a0c89abe364933e9.png\nhttps://cdn.masto.host/astrodonsocial/media_attachments/files/112/631/303/185/370/088/original/087f6696d72f727b.png\n",
