holy crap, they took over the whole back yard. It was like 20 feet square and two feet deep of thorny wasteland. Cutting back and digging out didn't work because they'd return from fragments. It took machinery and poison to get rid of them. They were absolutely delicious, though. I think from Google it must have been a wild species rather than a cultivar. They came with the house.
