I've been puzzling for some time over how those economies, that are "absorbing" so many new immigrants, were planning on getting those folk into the workforce given that a resurgence in manufacturing in those places has only been, so far a catch phrase.
Perhaps this data from Germany is the clue. The aging populations need service?
