TLP is pretty phenomenal when configured properly on an Intel-powered machine. Also, openSUSE Tumbleweed is such a nice, comfy distro. openSUSE was my first real Linux distribution (had installed Manjaro and Ubuntu years before on an old Macbook to play around and experiment, but abandoned the forte soon thereafter). openSUSE was the distro I chose when I moved away from Mac and decided to embrace Linux full-time. I've jumped around to various distros after that, Fedora and Debian to name a couple...but, of all of them, openSUSE is for sure my favorite. Having returned to it and mainlining it again for months at this point, I'd be hard-pressed to move to anything else.
