I was a steemit user and I believe Hive is a fork? May I ask what are the differences?
I was super stoked about the idea at first but after its demise and long thoughts about it, I realized the main issue is the pseudo necessity for a token that, has no use outside of it, that is in my opinion literally ponzinomics and will inevitably go to zero overtime (which is stressful).
That is why I prefer nostr, which isn't even a blockchain and you aren't forced to use sats (anyone could make a client that would allow other crypto. BUT one sure thing is that I know I can keep my sats forever) and it's open to devs to create and easily implement all sorts of functions.
On steemit, I also felt "trapped" by the devs modifications/forks I didn't like. Here, if a client is screwing up, I can always use another.
