This might be an utter dead end but, if you were interested in trying VR and had a strong preference for Free software, is there a fun, usable option out there?

I'd really rather not get a headset with a link to Meta, or something which needs a Windows PC.

I'm not much of a gamer, but some fun games, or some cool city/landscape exploration stuff, would be up my street.

(I'm looking for more than a wearable display.)
