I sometimes wonder if I’d have been diagnosed on the spectrum if I were a kid today. There are common elements of the stories others on the spectrum have shared with me, and a *lot* of them appear in my early childhood.

I brought it up with my therapist once, and they dismissed it because I was too "high-functioning" at this point of my life, and like... maybe that's 'cause I had to evolve my own bootstrap best-fit solution on the fly in the 1980s and 90s?
