Sometimes I run across a UI pattern where items in a list change size when focused. For example, the selected email shows additional details, and because of that, has more height when focused. I understand the motivation for not showing this information on every list item, because then fewer items can be shown, but I find the vertical jitter as you arrow through the list to be deeply unsettling. Is that just me?
