This is just my 2 sat suggestion: you can use the bitcoin node (along with a reputable hardware wallet from:
• Foundation (nprofile…recs)'s Passport,
• Blockstream (npub1jg5…6n8n)'s Jade, or
• Coldkite’s ColdCard Q
and use the Sparrow Wallet for desktop interface) for long-term cold storage use with the Bitcoin Network.
Having your own Bitcoin Node helps tremendously with keeping your UTXOs private and not depend on a random 3rd-party’s Bitcoin node who can see exactly how much you are moving from whenever you are sending from to yours. Ideally you can configure your Bitcoin Node into a personal, private node by running it over TOR obfuscating your IP address from other Bitcoin node users.
& you can continue using Alby (nprofile…4tq7)'s Hub for daily transactions / short term hot wallet use with the Lightning Network.
