As a reader, I ignore them. Too often the next book isn't available. If it is, I just buy that one.
If it isn't available, teasing me with a book that I can't read for weeks (or months) when I need something to read Right Ef'ing Now is not going to win my heart, mind, nor wallet.
But I'm a heavy reader running through as many as 5 books a week and I have impulse control issues 🤪
As a writer? Meh. I need to write the next book more than going back to the old ones.
