there is a laptop manufacturer now catering to this kind of modular and replaceable/upgradeable interoperable parts, i forget the name of it... i just stick with desktops if i can because they mostly by necessity have to be big and open and bolted with standard phillips screws or, as is getting a lot more common, thumbscrews, and aside from the metric/imperial bullshit with motheboard mounts and hard drive mounts life is better with desktop hardware
