They are oligarchy and they based their "business" on using a state to redistribute the wealth in society.
Look and EU. It started as capitalist idea (zone of free trade) but transformed to socialist entity based now entirely on regulations and subsides (= destruction of free trade).
And the results we see around us 🤷
