i think everyone knows that most likely Satoshi was a rogue at the NSA

this is disinfo anyway, because it doesn't make any material difference where it came from, what matters is that it has proven to be a properly decentralised store of value and it is enabling a lot of interesting things to happen that couldn't have happened without it

even if it is true that they intentionally did it, which i doubt, you can't trust anything anyone says about spooks, it's not under their control

it was designed to evade centralized control, and it has done admirably at that for the whole of its history

think about the motivational psychology of this for a moment

if you worked for the NSA, and were involved in efforts to develop a fully un-controllable cryptocurrency, and we know that they were, the 1998 or whatever paper hints at it, but they didn't have the magic ingredient, which Adam Back helped bring to it btw, and you realised that such a release would be actually damaging to the Organisation, would you want to be known for having done one of the most epic acts of counter-espionage - and counter-bankster cabal acts of all time? i think someone in the NSA would have a better idea of exactly what the consequences of being identified would be, not just for himself but also the project itself

so they can go publish all the "leaks" they want, they will be like the inverse of the redacted FBI shit, full of fake information that is designed to demoralise and intimidate
