I was just reading a bit about the 14A. Looks like they found a way to take away states rights.
“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; “
“Prior to the Fourteenth Amendment, the Bill of Rights only applied against abuses by the national government. After the Fourteenth Amendment's ratification, these protections applied equally against the states.”
