After doing it, training with it, living it, and enjoying it (!), can definitively say:
The carnivore diet is a fad diet, that is needlessly restrictive for zero benefit - UNLESS you’re allergic to all carbohydrates?
Training for strength takes a massive hit. Training for power takes a massive hit. Training for hypertrophy takes a massive hit. Testosterone levels decline slightly. Genetics play a role as always (Dr. Shawn Baker, for example).
Love meat. But it’s not optimal for training or T levels at all. If you’ve got an auto immune disorder, it totally makes sense, but for already totally healthy people, can’t recommend. Especially if your enjoy fitness/training at high levels. Science, eye test, actual real life results all tell me it’s not a long term thing except for some outliers. 🤷♂️
