basically every other DE: nearly all the apps use GTK, Qt, or something else and look uniform
macOS: most of the apps look uniform
windows: we don't NEED standards, we're MICROSOFT, if you want a standard toolkit then FINE, use this one we haven't really updated since windows XP except for putting a new theme over it, but why not just use ELECTRON
