Exodus 10 opens with these critical verses:

1 And Tehovah said to Mosha, “Come to Par’a, for I have made her heart heavy and the heart of her servants, so that I may set these signs of mine in her midst.

2 And so that you will recount in the ears of your daughter, and your daughter’s daughter, that I have harmed Metzerot, and My signs which I have set in them. And you will know that I am Tehovah.”

At last, we learn the story's purpose—a story created for future generations, not for Mosha & Aharona, but for their descendants. While we're familiar with this language, especially during Passover, let's pause to consider how it strategically positions us as readers & what role it plays in the nation-building project that unfolds in Exodus.
