Just watched the trailer for Monkey Man. Holy shit! I love Dev Patel, but he looks like an amazing director in addition to one of the best actors of his generation!
I can’t wait to see that. I don’t do theatres these days, but I might go for that one — not just for the killer action, but because a film drawing heavily on Indian culture, with an Indian director, produced by a Black man — yeah, box office numbers are how Hollywood goes “oh, diversity CAN be profitable!”
