Started watching Netflix’ #threebodyproblem after seeing the Chinese version last year - and so far I’m underwhelmed. What confuses me most is the change in scenery and context. Liu’s trilogy was among the very few Chinese cultural artifacts that found global acclaim in the last years. Moving much of the story to the UK feels ignorant and bad-faithed.
