our cat Peppi has been at the emergency veterinarian for the past several days with urinary blockage. They said this is pretty common with male cats so initially I wasn't too worried... vet recommended him to get surgery because after several rounds of catheter he wasn't getting better. So he's having surgery today, and if all goes well he will be coming home in a day or two. All of this is to say - get pet insurance if you can afford it. Health care for pets is astronomically expensive.
