Any government that depends on consent that's partial (eg election majorities), uninformed (eg obtained via misleading claims), or one-off (eg constitutional originalism) is *not* a democratic government. Even if it cosplays as one, by continuing to hold elections, tolerating some degree of media independence, making constitutional arguments for its actions, etc.
