this interests me a lot. I work with refugees. Everyone has PTSD, but most are remarkably functional. What the people, and particularly the women, who passed through Libya have experienced is enough to give me recurring nightmares. I sometimes think that it is because refugees aren't allowed to experience trauma. It is as if that is their lot in life but that somehow reduces the intensity of the PTSD. I don't know
