“Imagine, if you will, a stream. This stream represents time. The stream of time looks like a river of billions of little lights that resemble the sparklers we use during the Fourth of July. This stream of sparkling lights spans eternity or from forever to forever. If we cut across and remove a slice of this stream, that slice would represent a moment in time. All the sparkling lights are humanity, the lives of millions and billions of people depending on the period, and they are just flowing along. It is while we look at this stream that we find ourselves, at times, asking, what’s next?”
