The western facade of the former Templeton Carpet Factory on Glasgow Green. Designed by William Leiper and bassd on the Doge's Palace in Venice, it was built in 1889. This factory specialised in producing high quality picture carpets and produced carpets luxury liners, the White House in Washington, D.C., and for two royal coronations. It also produced more mundane items, including army blankets during World War I. The factory finally closed in 1982.
