As I have gotten older I have stopped expecting other people to want to understand anything. For example, most people don’t want to understand how e-mail works, they just want it to pop up on their iPhone. But they don’t understand the trade offs they are making nor do they care to put in the work to understand. I think this community is like the pioneers going west and settling the land, developing it to allow others to come once it’s tame.
