Hi OCEAN (npub1qtv…7dze)
Some feedback from a new BitAxe miner.
I got my miner a couple of weeks ago and immediately joined the OCEAN pool. I regularly had issues, which I assumed was the miner,
i.e. the miner appeared to work, but it gave errors and regularly showed it was disconnected from your pool. I power cycled it most days. I thought I had a duff miner, but was going to live with it.
Then you had your outage, I’m sorry, I hope you are managing to recover.
So I started solo mining on the ckpool. Since I joined, the solo mining pool, I’ve not had a single issue. TBF, I also moved WiFi APs as I wasn’t certain if it was a bad WiFi connection.
I haven’t rejoined OCEAN yet as I was aware you were, quite correctly, concentrating on your large miners.
As my miner appears to be working just fine and potential WiFi AP issues aside, is it possible you have any issues with your pool coping with small miners like BitAxe?
I am aware that as you attempt to decentralise mining and fulfil your DATUM ambitions, you are going to attract more and more home miners who buy products like the BitAxe or Braiins miner to support the network.
