If I were the blob, how would I unite the "western world" under a single government? How would I announce that, or would I? Who would be included? Or would I continue with the status quo, with separate governing bodies, all doing the bidding of the blob?
We have NATO. We have WEF. There are plenty of other treaties and consortiums that demonstrate cooperation and collaboration. The multinational corporate environment is also a factor, particularly in energy, pharma, and food.
It isn't that far of a mental stretch to see how it could be put together. We have the EU as an interesting pilot of this concept, although it ciuld clearly be improved upon.
I think western Europe and North America are already beyond warring with guns or bombs. Instead it is economy, banking, cyber/information control. Eastern Asia is probably similar, for the most part. The world war that is being alluded to is BRICS vs the West, but even that could be a setpiece of hegemony that is being promoted by the blob.
Interesting times, for sure. Many of us will have a front row seat for radical global geopolitical change, not seen since the age of exploration that ushered in various attempts at colonization.
