there are states when i saw the thoughts passing by without me thinking them, just observing their presence, not reacting, not engaging. as cheesy as it sounds, but as clouds floating by

the thinker of the thoughts is made of the same matter as thoughts. upbringing, experiences, attachments all accumulate and pile up forming this sense of self. separate unit inside of the skull. and then there is an awareness. the state when you experience oneness. i am my thoughts, i am terror, i am love, i am you, you are me
