Yes, Rizful should work with any Nostr client that supports Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC).
As for the differences between Rizful and other wallet solutions...
First: for any large amounts, that are like "savings", you should NOT use any phone or web-based wallet... these amounts should be in "cold storage" on a hardware wallet (or just on a wallet where you have a backed-up, fully offline seed phrase).
Now, keep in mind that any amounts that you have in cold storage like this can NOT be used on the lighting network... so you should break off a smaller amount to use on Lightning.
The absolute best -- but also most technically challenging -- way to use the Lightning Network is to run your own node... to do this "from scratch" on your own hardware is heavy lifting, but also a great learning experience. We have a guide to this, if you want to try it: https://docs.megalithic.me/category/should-i-run-a-lightning-node ... keep in mind you will need a dedicated computer that is online 24/7!
The next step down from this is to run your own node, but on a "cloud" service like https://rizful.com/ or https://albyhub.com/ -- both of these services are recommended. Although the node itself is running in a datacenter, not on your own hardware, you are contributing to the decentralization of the network by running your OWN lightning node. You also get a lot of flexibility to open your own channels (free payments, no fees, in some cases!), and generally participate in the Lightning ecosystem as a top-level participant. We've designed Rizful also to be a great place to start LEARNING about how the Lightning Network works.. simply fire up a Rizful node and start clicking on the "info" icons, or go through our documentation here: https://rizful.com/docs
Finally we get to centralized services like Wallet Of Satoshi or Phoenix. The disadvantage of these services is that your funds are "pooled" with lots of other user's funds. You can also have problems with sending or receiving, which can be nearly impossible to debug, since you don't have visibility into how their nodes work. (These services run a handful of nodes which service thousands of users...)
That said, if you just don't want to learn ANYTHING about lighting, and want to keep things as simple as possible, a centralized service like Wallet Of Satoshi, Phoenix, Strike, or River, is fine to start with. (Just please, don't use Coinbase, they can't be trusted!) You can always do that for a while and then try out Rizful or Alby Hub down the road when you want to get a bit "closer to the metal" for the Lighting Network.....
