Have had a Gitea server at home for a while now but I never used it, I forgot about it entirely. I always just used GitLab because well, it's supposed to be more reliable than my raspberry pi.

I just started using my local GiTea instance for some reason and I can't really put my finger on why, but it feels really good. I guess it has something to do with me being in complete control over the whole thing without seeing the "Upgrade your plan" buttons all over the place
