Maybe this is the right venue for this: can anyone explain to me, a software developer who's semi-moving into the machine learning career space: What is "data science"?
I don't really get it. I can write python. I'm super comfy with numpy and matplotlib. I've used R before too. I've used Tableau. Is that all data science is? Is it just baby machine learning, or is there some other aspect to it? What would I have to learn to feel confident in an interview for a data science position?
