I've toyed with the idea of starting an "Advent of Teaching": each day brings a new prompt, and the goal is to write a micro-lesson to explain that topic clearly and succinctly. The problem (OK, _one_ of the problems) would be checking participants' solutions, which highlights yet again why I think teaching is harder than programming.
