It's unbelievable to me how expensive everything is now and I don't see how people working lower wage jobs can even get by. The minimum wage is so low it's insulting, and many minimum wage jobs are really hard work. Manufacturing plants near me have billboards up with "starting pay $16/hour!" but with price gouging on everything now that's not enough to live on either. People definitely deserve to live comfortably in exchange for work.
