Europe and its politicians should regard an American-owned social media landscape as a security risk. You'd have to be a fool not to think that Google, Meta, Twitter, etc., don;t tell the US govt anything they want to know. Such companies have data on all of us.
I'm amazed Europe hasn't built its own alternatives even as a security measure. China and Russia both did.
