On the one hand, nation-states contemplating using BTC as a reserve asset is an obvious sign of growing acceptance and adoption and so is positive. On the other hand, if the potential for the power behind a large store of BTC leads to a repetition of exploitative, extractive, and war-mongering policies, it will not “fix the money, fix the world.” We need to base the creation of a new system on universal principles to create a freer, fairer, and more peaceful world. This is the principal thesis of my upcoming book.
