I have just voted in the UK elections and I similarly felt a complete lack of choice. Because I'm not a fan of Starmer. But in my constituency (UK elections are different), the only party that could defeat the Tories was Labour.

But this is how I framed it to myself. I will use them as a stick - to punish the Tories for 14 years of abominable cruelty to the people who were least able to stand it or defend themselves.

I may get something only slightly better. But I will have used my stick.
